「暦の絵」

動物・花・人物などをモチーフにおもに水彩画(透明水彩)で絵を描いています。

作家名の「Pom」の由来は「Peace of mind」で、日本語で言うと「平常心」です。
なにかと心が波打つ世の中ではありますが、どんなときでもなるべく「平常心」を保てることが、
多くの人たちにとっての平和につながるのではないかと考えており、
それを見守るもしくは象徴するようなイメージを求めて、絵の中の「いきもの」を描いています。
そんな願いを込めた絵を、今回の展示「暦の絵」では、暦の移り変わりを感じる四季折々の風景の中に描いてみました。
秋のお散歩がてらに、ぜひ原画をご覧いただけると嬉しいです。

The artist’s name “Pom” comes from “peace of mind,” which means “equanimity” in Japanese.
In a world where people’s hearts and minds are in a state of flux, I believe that being able to maintain a sense of “normalcy” in any situation will lead to peace for many people, and I draw the “living creatures” in my paintings in search of images that watch over or symbolize this.
In this exhibition, “Calendar Pictures,” I have tried to depict such wishes in seasonal scenes that reflect the changing of the calendar.
